'Outside' is a companion release to 'The Cathedral'. While the latter focuses on the feelings of isolation and shame which accompany growing up within any kind of 'Cathedral' while questioning its very foundations (see natecollins.bandcamp.com/album/the-cathedral for more context), the present release represents how those institutions and belief systems look from the outside once we escape the terror and hate, having emerged into the light.

My hope is that when viewed in the context of the filthy bleakness of 'The Cathedral', these oddball percussive choices combined with far clearer production will reinforce the experience of gaining clarity and seeing a previously held toxic belief system from a detached state, able to experience it for what it really is: Very strange indeed.
